Installation Fails with an Error Message - Android

Errors like "Installation Failed," "Incompatible Device," or "Error Code 505" are common.

1. Verify Compatability
Our app needs Android 10+ for best performance, but may run on Android 9. ??????
Check version. Go to Settings > About phone > Android version. Update if possible.

2. Clear Play Store and System Cache
In Play Store, go to Settings > Apps (or Apps & notifications) > Google Play Store > Storage & cache > Clear cache.
If needed, Clear storage (this resets the app but not your account).

For deeper cleanup, restart in recovery mode (varies by device: e.g., hold volume down + power on Samsung) > Wipe cache partition (no data loss).

3. Check for Restrictions
Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Permissions and ensure all are allowed.
For parental controls:, go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & parental controls > Check if restrictions block installs.

4. Disable VPN of Firewalls
If using VPN, turn it off. Go to Settings > Network & internet > VPN. Try a different network.

If the error says "not available in your country"...
Check your Google account region. Go to Play Store > Profile > Settings > General > Account and device preferences > Country.
